„The world´s first ELECTRIC watch!“
Hamilton, USA, 1957
In 1957 the American clock company, Hamilton, presented the first electrically-driven wristwatch. To make this revolutionary concept visible for their customers, Hamilton made Plexiglas displays of the new movement. The well-known industrial designer, Richard Arbib (1917-1995), designed highly unusual cases for the "Hamilton Electric".
