Precision Regulator with Compensated Pendulum
Georgius Ignatius Wisnpaindtner, Eichstätt, 1775
This longcase clock was used at the observatory of the University of Eichstätt for astronomical observations. The director of the observatorium, Professor Johann Ignaz Balthasar Pickel (1736-1818), designed a compensated pendulum for it. It is the oldest precision regulator ever to be made in Germany.
