Do-it-yourself Cuckoo Clock
Build a cuckoo clock yourself! At the German Clock Museum you can make this dream come true. Right in the heart of of the homeland of cuckoo clocks, you can create your own working cuckoo clock for yourself, with friends or as a family. We provide everything you need: a kit with a carved clock face and quartz movement, tools, and high-quality paints. All clock parts are, of course, Made in Black Forest!
Using our detailed video instructions, you will work step by step, at your own pace. Be sure to schedule at least 2.5 hours for the cuckoo clock.
Our recommendation: explore the museum while the coloring on your clock is drying. If you'd like to join the open guided museum tour (in German language) at 11 a.m., just start at 9:30 a.m. or 12 a.m. - no extra charge.
The do-it-yourself cuckoo clock is best suited for 1 to 7 people ages 16 and up, bat also for children ages 10 and up with an adult accompanying them. Our video instructions are available in different languages.
Flexible time to start from 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. In the winter season (starting 1 November) from 10:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.

- Cancellation is possible free of charge up to 24 hours before the appointment.
- Bookable for 1 to 7 persons
- For groups of 8 people or more, the cuckoo clock workshop can be booked.
